In the 17th minute Faustin Hamet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Macos Graciani to maneuver through the defense. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Tours Football Club's Arif Çelebi Ergener got a free kick in the 54th minute. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustin Hamet in the 65th minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Mexico's Luca Zorita ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lech Blochowiak. Lech Blochowiak yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. A sloppy throw-in by Leonardo Leoz in the 78th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Tours Football Club's Romulo Urko. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustin Hamet in the 79th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Cyrille Jenny came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 86 minutes into the game, Cyrille Jenny was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tours Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. A collision led to Tours Football Club getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Mexico players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
