In the 14th minute of the match Chile got a corner. 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mariano Lacasa ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matti Erkiner in the 18th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uwe-Jens Röttger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Matti Erkiner came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Heinz-Gerd Bonin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's Heinz-Gerd Bonin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 24th minute of play. In the 28th match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Tamayo to maneuver through the defense. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Uwe-Jens Röttger in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heinz-Gerd Bonin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. Chile:s Thiago Pliego showed great skill when he stopped Matti Erkiner:s penalty. 37 minutes into the game, Andras Gafus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chile the free kick. After 37 played minutes 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz got a freekick which was hit by Andras Gafus. 42 minutes into the match, Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Theo Ljucovic. Orlando Casaus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

If Guillermo Fontirroig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's Uwe-Jens Röttger in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's Uwe-Jens Röttger looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz made a substitution. Marcus Willmann replaced Uwe-Jens Röttger. 77 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Willmann came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz were victorious despite being under pressure from Chile for much of the match.
