If Gaudencio Lekubegi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaudencio Lekubegi in the 23rd minute of play forced Lechuguitas F.C.'s goalkeeper Cesare Cardillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Victorio Modestio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lechuguitas F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Gaudencio Lekubegi might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cesare Cardillo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gaudencio Lekubegi ran back to his position shaking his head. Cesare Cardillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaudencio Lekubegi, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Lechuguitas F.C. made a substitution. Laureano Dimas replaced Leonardo Paz. Lechuguitas F.C.'s Hélio Nascimento was substituted for 于阳朋. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gaudencio Lekubegi to strike the kick off in the second half. Iwan Lepucki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélio Nascimento in the 54th minute of the match.
