An unexpected shot in the 45th minute by Cristian Menendo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Juventus F.C.. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The wind increased when Alessio Punta made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Alessio Punta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Juventus F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. Dennis Lenzi was slow to take the kick. During this time Juventus F.C.'s players had a chance to rest.
