Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Abdi Mehmet Ulusan took the kick off in the first half of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ferhan Tahsin during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 3rd minute, Ferhan Tahsin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 5th match minute, Babil United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Görkem Özerdal to maneuver through the defense. Abdi Mehmet Ulusan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 26 minutes, Patricio Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Babil United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 26 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. When Patricio Costa was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 28 minutes had been played. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Babil United's Celil İlhanoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 30th minute of play. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Babil United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Tomas Illescas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Celil İlhanoğlu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Babil United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. After a defensive mix-up in Babil United's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celil İlhanoğlu came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Babil United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Görkem Özerdal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baybars Doğa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Engin Acemoğlu in the 44th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Babil United's Celil İlhanoğlu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Babil United from getting a goal against them. Rigoberto Mina was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 62 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute, one of Venezuela:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Venezuela. 1-0 came in the 64th minute when Engin Acemoğlu all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. In the 78th minute, Görkem Özerdal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdi Mehmet Ulusan, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. If Jose Correa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdi Mehmet Ulusan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Abdi Mehmet Ulusan put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Babil United.
