The crowd rose to their feet as Valério Corte-Real kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dante Lacasa. That made the score 2-2 in the 42 minute of play. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Valério Corte-Real tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 46th minute, Luca Zorita made a precise shot to the right of 楚霖振. Omakeka's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. After the first half Mexico were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

楚霖振 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joel Gaona in the 55th minute. If Valério Corte-Real had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the match, Omakeka's goalkeeper 楚霖振 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márcio Quental in the 67th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 3-3 when Márcio Quental sped through Mexico's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. In the 74th minute Valério Corte-Real shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 楚霖振 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 76th minute of the match. 楚霖振 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
