The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute Jonathan Alphonse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inguma Madama saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Noel Seide took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Veremundo Ascarretazabal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th match minute, Haiti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saint Jean Pierre to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Venceslao Mayllar got free with Noel Seide in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonathan Alphonse in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Inguma Madama prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 23 minutes into the match, Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Alphonse came free, but Inguma Madama reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Inguma Madama made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Alphonse in the 29th minute of play. Brais Montiel kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Philippe Ambroise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inguma Madama having to interfere. Inguma Madama took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernso Constant, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 37 played minutes Haiti got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Alphonse. After having played for 41 minutes, Veremundo Ascarretazabal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Veremundo Ascarretazabal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonathan Alphonse made a kick off. Venceslao Mayllar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Noel Seide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raymond Louis made in the 58th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Ernso Constant immediately put the ball in play. After some careless play in the Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan defense, Ernso Constant kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Inguma Madama. The Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Inguma Madama should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernso Constant got free with Inguma Madama in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Venceslao Mayllar struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Noel Seide didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan. 66 minutes into the game, Veremundo Ascarretazabal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Haiti the free kick. In the 66th minute, Veremundo Ascarretazabal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Alphonse in the 69th minute of play forced Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan's goalkeeper Inguma Madama to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Inguma Madama made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernso Constant in the 70th minute. Inguma Madama made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Jonathan Alphonse sent off a good shot on target. In the 76th minute Jonathan Alphonse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inguma Madama saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan booed when Haiti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saint Jean Pierre didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Haiti's goalkeeper Noel Seide, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Inguma Madama made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gesner Philippe in the 81st minute. A collision led to Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Veremundo Ascarretazabal hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the match, Deportivo Qhapaq Ñan's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Alphonse came free, but Inguma Madama reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Inguma Madama was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Ernso Constant capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ernso Constant really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Rodney Emmanuel kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Haiti's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
