The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Rubio during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Juan Rubio hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Costa Rica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Aureliusz Mietus scored to the left of an out of position Benito Sanz, making the score, 1-0. In the 22nd minute, Galaxy Team U18's Pawel Korytkowski seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Pawel Korytkowski the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Galaxy Team U18 protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Pawel Korytkowski had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 21 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Galaxy Team U18! In the 23rd minute there was a penalty for Costa Rica. Axel Tasis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lucjan Gierlach. 1-1. If Aureliusz Mietus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and Aureliusz Mietus capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Aureliusz Mietus really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. 36 minutes into the match, Galaxy Team U18's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Puig came free, but Lucjan Gierlach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aureliusz Mietus showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 37 minute of play. Marek Skoroda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonard Furgat in the 44th minute of play. After 45 played minutes Galaxy Team U18 got a freekick which was hit by Aureliusz Mietus. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonard Furgat was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Leonard Furgat kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. 57 minutes into the match, Eliseo Noboa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lucjan Gierlach, 4-2. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonard Furgat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonard Furgat, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 68thth minute of the game Aureliusz Mietus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fryderyk Wolicki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Galaxy Team U18's Damian Malewicki was substituted for Leonard Furgat. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Damian Malewicki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galaxy Team U18's supporters rose to their feet, but Damian Malewicki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Galaxy Team U18 had played much better football throughout.
