Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Arnulfo Lugo kicked off to start the match. Tomás Guillen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tomás Guillen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute of the game, Daniel Zorita landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 14 minutes into the game, Sylwester Panikowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Timmernabben FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Ecuador made a substitution. Luz Palacio replaced Daniel Zorita. In the 20th minute, Felix Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnulfo Lugo in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 26 played minutes Timmernabben FF got a freekick which was hit by Allan Hallgren. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 26th minute of play forced Timmernabben FF's goalkeeper Tomás Guillen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the game, one of Timmernabben FF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Felix Montenegro in the 31st minute. Folke Lövgren kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Tomás Guillen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Palacio in the 38th minute of play. Tomás Guillen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Palacio in the 40th minute of the match. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Kaká Junior tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 45thth minute of the game Kaká Junior who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Felix Montenegro hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luz Palacio was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Timmernabben FF booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 52nd minute of the match Folke Lövgren shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Timmernabben FF getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Allan Hallgren hit a great ball. Luz Palacio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Tomás Guillen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 59th minute Arnulfo Lugo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Timmernabben FF's goalkeeper Tomás Guillen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luz Palacio. After having played for 67 minutes, Luz Palacio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luz Palacio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 70th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Guillen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Kaká Junior came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Luz Palacio got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomás Guillen made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Agustín Saelices kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tomás Guillen. That made the score 0-4 in the 92 minute of play. Ecuador played a much better game than Timmernabben FF and deserved their victory. The Timmernabben FF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
