Julius-Lasse Schwering charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Julius-Lasse Schwering the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 9 played minutes FC Angst vorm Ball got a freekick which was hit by Julius-Lasse Schwering. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 10th minute of play forced FC Angst vorm Ball's goalkeeper Jens Schrape to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joachim Krabbe. If Milagros Fraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthias Zahn in the 18th minute of the match. FC Angst vorm Ball's Jens Schrape played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 24th minute of play. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Björn Michael in the 29th minute of play. Björn Michael could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. In the 33rd minute Björn Michael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julian Murillo struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Jens Schrape didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. The audience thought a goal was coming when Björn Michael got free with Rolando Noboa in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Angst vorm Ball's Jens Schrape played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 43rd minute of play. Luz Tejedor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julian Murillo to strike the kick off in the second half. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthias Zahn in the 66th minute of the match. With a little luck, FC Angst vorm Ball's Jens Schrape got control of the ball when Luz Tejedor tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joachim Krabbe, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The Peru supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Peru would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
