Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Bertrán Olguín tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bertrán Olguín's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Jonathan Ferrant skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Vaffancalcio's Bertrán Olguín fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Vaffancalcio getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Claudio Colucci hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Bertrán Olguín kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Bertrán Olguín got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 2-0. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertrán Olguín in the 38th minute of play. After having played for 39 minutes, Bertrán Olguín managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vaffancalcio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bertrán Olguín was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Vaffancalcio made a substitution. Ambrosio Xabel replaced Steve Valk. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alberto Di Clemente stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bertrán Olguín scored 3-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Vaffancalcio's Alberto Di Clemente. But to his dismay, Alberto Di Clemente quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Di Clemente in the 61st minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Di Clemente went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Liviu Răducan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Di Clemente in the 70th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Di Clemente came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Liviu Răducan was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 76th minute, Alberto Di Clemente got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 80th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. Alberto Di Clemente might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Di Clemente ran back to his position shaking his head. 90 minutes into the match, Alberto Di Clemente notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alberto Di Clemente during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alberto Di Clemente hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Di Clemente, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Vaffancalcio had played much better football throughout.
