After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Bertrán Olguín kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. After 15 minutes of play, Vaffancalcio's Bertrán Olguín made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 18th minute. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Claudio Colucci could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. If Bertrán Olguín had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bertrán Olguín went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. After 35 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Hesse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bertrán Olguín scored 5-0 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The throw-in from Rigoberto Mina in the 44th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Vaffancalcio's Gualterio Felo.

Vaffancalcio made a substitution. Ambrosio Xabel replaced Steve Valk. The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Bertrán Olguín shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ambrosio Xabel made in the 57th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Bertrán Olguín however managed to control. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertrán Olguín in the 62nd minute of play. After 64 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. Vaffancalcio's Bertrán Olguín got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bertrán Olguín in the 78th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Alberto Di Clemente's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Alberto Di Clemente spun around in front of the goal 80 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Venezuela's goal. In the 81st minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 82 played minutes, Vaffancalcio's Claudio Colucci shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vaffancalcio reached it. In the 83rd minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. 91 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Di Clemente came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Di Clemente in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Di Clemente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
