After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Valentin Petrochenko blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Ecuador were furious when Antonio Arias was red carded, 55 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Villamarina AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 63rd minute, when Cristian Sancho scored to the left of an out of position Carlo Ciccone, making the score, 2-2. In the 67th minute Stergios Koutsodimos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stergios Koutsodimos, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlo Ciccone narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 74thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villamarina AFC's Carlo Ciccone was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arthur McIlreach in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. The supporters of Villamarina AFC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball.
