Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Pedro Meira kicked off to start the match. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Meira, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 19th minute of the match, Henrique Júdice tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Benito Sanz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The crowd rose to their feet as Spartak das Kaldas's Henrique Júdice slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benito Sanz. That made the score 1-0 after 22 minutes of play. Spartak das Kaldas's Vítor Ramires got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Eliseo Noboa came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Noboa couldn't finish the play. 36 minutes into the match, Spartak das Kaldas's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Puig came free, but Juliano Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 37 minutes, Avelino Meireles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Spartak das Kaldas and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. Avelino Meireles kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Meira in the 39th minute of play. After 42 minutes of play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juliano Brito was left in no man's land by his defense there! The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The supporters of Spartak das Kaldas booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. After 74 minutes of play Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 77th minute, Henrique Júdice left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Spartak das Kaldas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. In the 83rd minute, Pedro Meira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Henrique Júdice struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Costa Rica's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
