Eduardo Palhares made in the 29th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Henrique Júdice. A collision led to Spartak das Kaldas getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Avelino Meireles hit a great ball. Honduras's Sebastian Villa got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Spartak das Kaldas's Juliano Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 35th minute of play. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Ramires in the 38th minute of play. Juliano Brito came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Honduras's Edmundo Espiga. But to his dismay, Edmundo Espiga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Meira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

51 minutes in the game Moises Tafalla did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Luca Espinar. The crowd rose to their feet as Honduras's Luca Espinar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Juliano Brito. That made the score 0-2 after 52 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Spartak das Kaldas's Eduardo Palhares got a free kick in the 54th minute. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juliano Brito was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Juliano Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Villa in the 61st minute of the match. Juliano Brito was a little too slow when Sebastian Villa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Spartak das Kaldas's zone, Sebastian Villa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juliano Brito came out of the goal and Sebastian Villa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juliano Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Milagros Cabal hit a great ball. 76 minutes into the game, Ivan Navarro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Honduras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Spartak das Kaldas the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 76th minute of the game. One of Honduras:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Spartak das Kaldas:s goal. After 78 played minutes Spartak das Kaldas got a freekick which was hit by Ademar Lima. After recieving a nice pass, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga tried to score from far away in the 79th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
