In the 58th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Börje Holmgren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Flodde CFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonides Ospetsu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Flodde CFC's Víktor Muli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
