Primitivo Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Claudio De Simone in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Sancho came free with the goalkeeper in the 21st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Claudio De Simone could save by the left post. Felix Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 33rd minute of play forced AS Bravetta's goalkeeper Claudio De Simone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AS Bravetta's Claudio De Simone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 34th minute of play. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Claudio De Simone when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 37th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio De Simone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Andino to maneuver through the defense. Claudio De Simone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 45th minute Felice Valcareggi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dave Guaita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. AS Bravetta's Claudio De Simone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 52nd minute of play. Claudio De Simone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the match, AS Bravetta's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Claudio De Simone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudio De Simone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 70th minute of play. AS Bravetta's Alvar Ansip was substituted for Frank Mandara. After 73 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. Diego Piccone's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diego Piccone helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ecuador booed when AS Bravetta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felice Valcareggi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudio De Simone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Palacio in the 83rd minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, AS Bravetta's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Claudio De Simone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 89 played minutes AS Bravetta got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Proietti. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudio De Simone breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 96th minute Luz Palacio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio De Simone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
