Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Peter Oldenborger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. A very nice done corner allowed Felix Montenegro to score against Peter Oldenborger in MK Investments's goal. 1-0 after 12 minutes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 16th minute of play forced MK Investments's goalkeeper Peter Oldenborger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita had several of the MK Investments's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 24 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Peter Oldenborger as he didn't even see the shot coming. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olaf Degens in the 27th minute of the match. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastiaan Middeljans in the 34th minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sebastiaan Middeljans made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peter Oldenborger narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 56th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Peter Oldenborger was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Peter Oldenborger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 88th minute, Edgar Plaski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jimmie Cai's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jimmie Cai helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, MK Investments's Jimmie Cai got a free kick in the 91st minute. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Felix Montenegro hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Oldenborger having to interfere. There was no doubt that Ecuador were the better team. Ecuador's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
