Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Bertrán Olguín started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertrán Olguín in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertrán Olguín in the 5th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute Bertrán Olguín shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Liviu Răducan in the 14th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Esteban Carvallo. Edmundo Espigas short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Dennis Carrea to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some careless play in the Honduras defense, Bertrán Olguín kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. Bertrán Olguín's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lautaro Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bertrán Olguín, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Dennis Carrea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Bertrán Olguín had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bertrán Olguín was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 31st minute, Kurt Hesse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Bertrán Olguín stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Bertrán Olguín tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ivan Navarro got a throw-in 36 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Sebastian Villa. 40 minutes into the match, Bertrán Olguín notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Honduras's Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sebastian Villa kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Vaffancalcio's Bertrán Olguín got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Edmundo Espiga made the kick off in the second half. When Liviu Răducan came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Vaffancalcio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Liviu Răducan couldn't finish the play. After 60 minutes, Milagros Cabal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Honduras and the Vaffancalcio players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 60th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milagros Cabal to maneuver through the defense. Alberto Di Clemente could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. Lautaro Navarro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Di Clemente in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute Vaffancalcio were awarded a corner. Claudio Colucci went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Vaffancalcio's Claudio Colucci to fire away a dangerous shot which Lautaro Navarro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 74th minute, Lluis Companys hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 77th minute by Bertrán Olguín got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Dennis Carrea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Villa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Honduras defense, Alberto Di Clemente kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. Emanuel Ocampo hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Lautaro Navarro acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 89th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Claudio Colucci. 91 minutes into the match, Vaffancalcio's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Dennis Carrea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Di Clemente's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 93rdth minute, Lautaro Navarro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 94th minute Alberto Di Clemente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ambrosio Xabel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alberto Di Clemente hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Vaffancalcio's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
