Mats Ekrot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Bivall in the 21st minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Bivall, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 24th minute of the game Jonatan Siöberg made a throw-in which Emanuel Blixt played forward. The Honduras fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 30th minute, Fred Bivall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edmundo Espigas short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Mats Ekrot to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hille IF's Jerry Blomqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mats Ekrot stood somewhat misplaced when Edmundo Espiga came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 36 minute. In the 40th minute, Edmundo Espiga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Honduras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmundo Espiga to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Sebastian Villa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Moises Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Mats Ekrot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 71 played minutes Hille IF got a freekick which was hit by William Sjöö. After some careless play in the Hille IF defense, Edmundo Espiga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mats Ekrot. The Hille IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mats Ekrot should have stopped the shot. Mats Ekrot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Mats Ekrot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Honduras's Edmundo Espiga in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hille IF's goalie prevented a goal.
