Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Vaffancalcio's Davide Vasco started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Lautaro Puig left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The supporters of Vaffancalcio booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute, Axel Tasis fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 16 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Alcocer. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuele Paolini, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, Vaffancalcio's Demetrio Mastronardi got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 40th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Tasis to maneuver through the defense. When Vaffancalcio's Emanuele Paolini in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Vaffancalcio booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Davide Vasco missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 44 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Benito Sanz right hand side. Davide Vasco scored 1-3 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Axel Tasis to make the kick off. After 54 minutes Costa Rica's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Davide Vasco who took care of the corner kick. Carmine Zaino took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-6. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Abel Carballo hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Vaffancalcio's Filomeno Matai got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
