Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bob Cazeneuve showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 5th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrik Tidén in the 9th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henrik Tidén made a great header on MLM's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Bob Cazeneuve didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind MLM's goalkeeper Bob Cazeneuve, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, MLM's Henrik Tidén broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a rather tough play, MLM's Salif Keita got a free kick in the 21st minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Quadros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Almir Carioca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. The supporters of MLM booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Bob Cazeneuve in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 31st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. MLM's Flavio Colillas was substituted for Charro Alavedra. MLM made a substitution. Xavian Revuelta replaced Adolfo Camara. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 39th minute of play forced MLM's goalkeeper Bob Cazeneuve to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bob Cazeneuve breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When MLM's Tomás Quadros in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomás Quadros was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Gaos during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Henrik Tidén recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Tomás Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot. MLM's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomás Quadros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Tomás Quadros sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of MLM booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 74 minutes, Tomás Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MLM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Quadros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 75th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Bob Cazeneuve didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Henrik Tidén was slow to take the kick. During this time MLM's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Salif Keita heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 87th minute of play forced MLM's goalkeeper Bob Cazeneuve to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 89th minute. The long shot by Henrik Tidén in the 90th minute really tested Jonathan Ferrant's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Camilo Gaos got his second yellow card in the match during the 90th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 91st minute. The MLM supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing MLM would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
