Chile's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Mariano Lacasa scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elia Lepre, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ferruccio Scivittaro hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Elia Lepre made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind S.C. Monte Marino's goalkeeper Elia Lepre, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, Ernesto Piacentini notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Chile's Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 33 minutes, Ernesto Piacentini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.C. Monte Marino's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernesto Piacentini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th minute, Guillermo Fontirroig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mariano Lacasa succeeded in the game's 40th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mariano Lacasa was the one to do the kick off. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francesco Primavera in the 61st minute of play. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elia Lepre having to make a save. Elia Lepre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 69th minute of play. Francesco Primavera took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After 76 minutes of play, Chile's Mariano Lacasa made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elia Lepre was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 84th minute Francesco Primavera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 85 minutes of play, Chile's Mariano Lacasa made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elia Lepre was left in no man's land by his defense there! The attack was good, but when Mariano Lacasa in the 91st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in S.C. Monte Marino fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 93rd minute. Penalty! After 97 minutes, Ferruccio Scivittaro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the S.C. Monte Marino and the Chile players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ferruccio Scivittaro kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Chile had won after a very even match.
