Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) White&Blue Lions-Stiinta-'s Remigio Vigil started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rolando Noboa was out of position in the 4 minute of play, and Remigio Vigil capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Remigio Vigil really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Codruț Hanganu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Diego Sánchez kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Carlos Berbiz made in the 20th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Xiao Fan Jing immediately put the ball in play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cheng Zhan Sheng in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. Codruț Hanganu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julian Murillo went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Codruț Hanganu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 46th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquin Prats to maneuver through the defense. The White&Blue Lions-Stiinta- players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peru were winning 1-2.

When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Julian Murillo sped through White&Blue Lions-Stiinta-'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Codruț Hanganu. A throw-in in the 56th minute of the game was made by Carlos Berbiz with Xiao Fan Jing as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 59th minute Magne Wenerdahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. White&Blue Lions-Stiinta-'s Codruț Hanganu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 63rd minute of play. The Peru supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Peru would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
