With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ciro Fata in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Luis Andino got a free kick in the 4th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Niklas Isaksson got free with Julio Vera in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valla Fc's Niklas Isaksson was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 8th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Antoine Lovera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Valla Fc's goalie prevented a goal. In the 19th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Antoine Lovera. Valla Fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 22 minutes into the match, Valla Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Antoine Lovera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antoine Lovera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 24th minute of play. Luis Andino hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Antoine Lovera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Luis Andino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antoine Lovera. Valla Fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luis Andino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. After some careless play in the Valla Fc defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antoine Lovera. The Valla Fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antoine Lovera should have stopped the shot.
The wind increased when Ciro Fata made the kick off in the second half. Ecuador's Felix Montes suffered a concussion in the 53rd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 53 minutes into the game, Tor-Ivar Kalland was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valla Fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Ecuador made a substitution. Max Alvarado replaced Felix Montes. Antoine Lovera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 67th minute of play forced Valla Fc's goalkeeper Antoine Lovera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 68 played minutes Valla Fc got a freekick which was hit by Peter Töpfer. Daniel Zorita had several of the Valla Fc's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 70 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-6 score and a disappointed Antoine Lovera as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 74th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoine Lovera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Valla Fc's Peter Töpfer. But to his dismay, Peter Töpfer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-6. In the 78th minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. This resulted in a 2-7 score and a disappointed Antoine Lovera as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 86th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoine Lovera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Antoine Lovera made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Antoine Lovera in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Valla Fc's Antoine Lovera got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Valla Fc's goalkeeper Antoine Lovera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 98 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Antoine Lovera, 2-8.
