Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) In the 4th minute, Agustín Saelices ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Turan Uluçam was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. An unexpected shot in the 9th minute by Daniel Zorita got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 11th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Turan Uluçam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Turan Uluçam made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lütfi Özil in the 15th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henk Boegaerts during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in COLDPLAY's zone, Felix Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Turan Uluçam came out of the goal and Felix Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, COLDPLAY's Turan Uluçam got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Turan Uluçam firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codruț Domuță in the 35th minute of play. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Codruț Domuță in the 40th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of COLDPLAY booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Enginalp Hilal. Turan Uluçam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 63 minutes, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustín Saelices was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Turan Uluçam having to interfere. COLDPLAY's Hakkı Devrim Tuğrul was substituted for Lütfi Özil. The crowd rose to their feet as COLDPLAY's Codruț Domuță slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 2-1 after 68 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, COLDPLAY's Cristi Şuţu got a free kick in the 70th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Turan Uluçam narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 73 minutes, Codruț Domuță made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ahmet Demir got free with Julio Vera in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to COLDPLAY getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Cristi Şuţu hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Turan Uluçam prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Cristian Sancho sped through COLDPLAY's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Turan Uluçam. 85 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Codruț Domuță came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hakkı Devrim Tuğrul. The crowd rose to their feet as Codruț Domuță kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 3-3 in the 89 minute of play. Ahmet Demir charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ahmet Demir the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ahmet Demir hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
