Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Turan Uluçam saved COLDPLAY from getting behind. 8 minutes into the match, Codruț Domuță had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Codruț Domuță was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Turan Uluçam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 11th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ahmet Demir got free with Julio Vera in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Ecuador booed when COLDPLAY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristi Şuţu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Turan Uluçam. Turan Uluçam dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Turan Uluçam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Turan Uluçam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 32 minutes into the match, COLDPLAY's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Turan Uluçam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Turan Uluçam having to interfere. Enginalp Hilal's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Codruț Domuță made a kick off. Ahmet Demir struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for COLDPLAY. In the 56th minute Codruț Domuță shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Demir in the 59th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Ahmet Demir's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. After 61 minutes of play, Ecuador's Luis Andino made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Turan Uluçam was left in no man's land by his defense there! Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Codruț Domuță, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. COLDPLAY made a substitution. Hakkı Devrim Tuğrul replaced Lütfi Özil. After a rather tough play, COLDPLAY's Enginalp Hilal got a free kick in the 76th minute. After 82 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Enginalp Hilal who took care of the corner kick. COLDPLAY's Hieronim Cisek was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Cristi Şuţu fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored COLDPLAY's protests and gave Cristi Şuţu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89th match minute, COLDPLAY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristi Şuţu to maneuver through the defense. The Ecuador players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented COLDPLAY from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
