Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alf Nøttveit was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Torjus Fjellheim hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Francisco Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Torjus Fjellheim to strike the kick off in the second half. Torjus Fjellheims short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Joaquin Gayoso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alberto Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Suleskard was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fredrik Molland didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd match minute, Suleskard was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kjetil Gunnarsen to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
