Spectators: 52 (Terracing: 39, Seating: 12, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Mariano Lacasa took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience was convinced that Nilmar Marinho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pliego was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. In the 6th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dani Hernández saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dani Hernández didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 13 minutes into the match, Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nilmar Marinho. Chile's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Nilmar Marinho scored to the left of an out of position Thiago Pliego, making the score, 1-1. 17 minutes into the match, Chivos de Punto Fijo's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Dani Hernández reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dani Hernández made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 18th minute of play. After 18 minutes of play, Chile's Mariano Lacasa made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dani Hernández was left in no man's land by his defense there! 21 minutes into the game, Honorio Cerra recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Thiago Pliego. Honorio Cerra showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilmar Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Nilmar Marinho did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-2 to the left of a surprised Thiago Pliego 29 minutes into the match. Dani Hernández made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillermo Fontirroig in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Nilmar Marinho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Thiago Pliego. The goal made the score 4-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 44th minute of play forced Chivos de Punto Fijo's goalkeeper Dani Hernández to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

After 55 minutes Chivos de Punto Fijo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mariano Lacasa who took care of the corner kick. Orlando Casaus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dani Hernández read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Dani Hernández in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilmar Marinho in the 69th minute of the match. After 70 minutes, Gaston Botinos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chivos de Punto Fijo and the Chile players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Chivos de Punto Fijo's Gaston Botinos got a free kick in the 70th minute. Chivos de Punto Fijo made a substitution. Juan Torrent replaced Filip Bochinski. Nilmar Marinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dani Hernández made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 80th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Honorio Cerra came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Torrent in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dani Hernández narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorio Cerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Chivos de Punto Fijo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Chile had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
