Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Luís Fábio Rocha kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Aaron Cresitobalo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Los Hijos de Doña Beija's zone, Luz Tejedor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Higinio Aguilera came out of the goal and Luz Tejedor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Fábio Rocha struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Hijos de Doña Beija. 10 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fábio Rocha came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 13 minutes, Luís Fábio Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Hijos de Doña Beija's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Fábio Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Luís Fábio Rocha took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Rolando Noboa to make any attempt to save it. In the 27th minute, Eliseo Mina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Higinio Aguilera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Higinio Aguilera came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Luz Tejedor. But to his dismay, Luz Tejedor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Fábio Rocha's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Los Hijos de Doña Beija's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Higinio Aguilera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Hijos de Doña Beija's goalkeeper Higinio Aguilera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Feliciano Haritzeder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Noboa having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Los Hijos de Doña Beija made a substitution. Jyrki Sillanpää replaced Argi Casta. Eliseo Mina might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Higinio Aguilera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eliseo Mina ran back to his position shaking his head. 57 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Indiana Jones came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higinio Aguilera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Higinio Aguilera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. After 70 played minutes Los Hijos de Doña Beija got a freekick which was hit by Venancio Sandaili. After having played for 79 minutes, Luz Tejedor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luz Tejedor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Higinio Aguilera made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. 90 minutes into the match, Peru's Rafael Gallo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Higinio Aguilera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Venancio Sandaili made in the 92nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Rafael Gallo took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Higinio Aguilera to make any attempt to save it. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Peru eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
