Meelis Vananurm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Abreu in the 19th minute of the match. Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maicon Pontes went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Axel Montenegros short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Meelis Vananurm to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 26th minute Maicon Pontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colombia's Kevin Mastache managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hennes Wickihalter in the 27 minute of the game. Meelis Vananurm came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Colombia's Axel Montenegro. But to his dismay, Axel Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 32 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Santino Seco. Meelis Vananurm made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Montenegro in the 38th minute. A collision led to ◄19A10► Widzew Łódź getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Erubiel Justin hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

53 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erubiel Justin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 59th minute of play forced ◄19A10► Widzew Łódź's goalkeeper Meelis Vananurm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Montenegro in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Meelis Vananurm saved ◄19A10► Widzew Łódź from getting behind. Marcelo Abreu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Hennes Wickihalter hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 66thth minute of the game Abram Sarmiento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ◄19A10► Widzew Łódź's Meelis Vananurm was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Abram Sarmiento took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Meelis Vananurm. Meelis Vananurm dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Meelis Vananurm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santino Seco in the 74th minute of the match. Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kevin Mastache in the 75th minute. Colombia's Luis Cazalla was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Meelis Vananurm in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 80 minutes into the match, Abram Secada had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Meelis Vananurm. ◄19A10► Widzew Łódź's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abram Secada was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2.
