Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Chile's Mariano Lacasa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When COLDPLAY's Codruț Domuță in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chile's goalie prevented a goal. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind COLDPLAY's goalkeeper Turan Uluçam, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codruț Domuță in the 9th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Demir came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by COLDPLAY's Ahmet Demir. But to his dismay, Ahmet Demir quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Turan Uluçam didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 32nd minute, COLDPLAY's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mariano Lacasa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of Chile booed when COLDPLAY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristi Şuţu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Chile's Mariano Lacasa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Turan Uluçam. That made the score 2-1 after 41 minutes of play. In the 45th minute, Cristi Şuţu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 47 played minutes COLDPLAY got a freekick which was hit by Henk Boegaerts. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Codruț Domuță made a kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerardo Pozo to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Chile defense, Enginalp Hilal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thiago Pliego. The Chile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thiago Pliego should have stopped the shot. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Turan Uluçam read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Mariano Lacasa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Turan Uluçam having to interfere. COLDPLAY's Hakkı Devrim Tuğrul was substituted for Lütfi Özil. After having played for 72 minutes, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chile's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mariano Lacasa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 75th minute, Mariano Lacasa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Turan Uluçam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 77th minute of play. In the 79th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Turan Uluçam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the COLDPLAY defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Turan Uluçam. The COLDPLAY fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Turan Uluçam should have stopped the shot. Turan Uluçam came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Turan Uluçam. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. Chile's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
