Bryan Chai could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. 潘庭桑 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bryan Chai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Felix Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bryan Chai could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. 潘庭桑 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita, 83 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bryan Chai in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. 罗朗希's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. 罗朗希 helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 94th minute.
