The supporters of FC Bodil United booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 96th minute Rafael Gallo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valeriu Hoisie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alonso Berganza made in the 98th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Eliseo Alcocer.
