Zenon Klewinski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hristo Stoichkov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dante Lacasa having to make a save. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hristo Stoichkov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jesus Sayveon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 27th minute of the match. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Athletico Picapedrense's goalkeeper Jesus Sayveon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 31st minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Lautaro Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristo Uria kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Jesus Sayveon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 38th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Athletico Picapedrense's Jesus Sayveon. Jesus Sayveon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 44 minutes into the match, Athletico Picapedrense's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Jesus Sayveon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Luca Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesus Sayveon having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Athletico Picapedrense's Cristo Uria got a free kick in the 61st minute. Athletico Picapedrense made a substitution. Orlondo Aguado replaced Hristo Stoichkov. After 62 played minutes Athletico Picapedrense got a freekick which was hit by Cristo Uria. Jesus Sayveon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Orlondo Aguado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. In the 70th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesus Sayveon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Jesus Sayveon threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alberto Tafalla, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 邱浩川 kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After 77 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Joel Gaona. In the 83rd minute, Eloi Fontanella left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Athletico Picapedrense fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. 94 minutes into the match, Athletico Picapedrense's goalkeeper Jesus Sayveon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. Macos Graciani kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloi Fontanella in the 97th minute of play. Mexico were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
