Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. COLDPLAY's Turan Uluçam proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save COLDPLAY from getting a goal against them. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Turan Uluçam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 15 in the game by Daniel Zorita from a close distance when the talented Turan Uluçam managed to make a qualified save. COLDPLAY's players were relieved. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Demir in the 18th minute of play. Turan Uluçam made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. 23 minutes into the match, COLDPLAY's goalkeeper Turan Uluçam had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Turan Uluçam made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Turan Uluçam in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 32nd minute. Turan Uluçam came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Codruț Domuță, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Codruț Domuță stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codruț Domuță in the 60th minute of play. Turan Uluçam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita scored 2-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Turan Uluçam, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. COLDPLAY made a substitution. Hakkı Devrim Tuğrul replaced Lütfi Özil. Turan Uluçam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 70th minute of the match. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to COLDPLAY getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Henk Boegaerts hit a great ball. Ahmet Demir recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Turan Uluçam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of COLDPLAY's Turan Uluçam. Turan Uluçam was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Henk Boegaerts charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Henk Boegaerts the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. COLDPLAY's Turan Uluçam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 82nd minute of play. Henk Boegaerts was shown his second yellow card after 85 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when COLDPLAY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henk Boegaerts didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute, Ahmet Demir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Codruț Domuță, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
