Nejat Taykurt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 11th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 11th minute of play forced Bize Heryer Trabzon's goalkeeper Nejat Taykurt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. When Abraham Alguacil was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 47 minutes had been played. After 48 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Abraham Alguacil. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Tomas Berganza made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Isidoro Sarmiento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nejat Taykurt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Panama booed when Bize Heryer Trabzon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bilge Baykal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bize Heryer Trabzon's attentive Necip Fazıl Nurettin managed to snatch the ball when Matthew Garrido made a throw-in in the 60th minute of the game. After 61 played minutes Bize Heryer Trabzon got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Mineiro. Nejat Taykurt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 68th minute of the match. In the 71st match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Barrios to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cosimo Ianni in the 72nd minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bilge Baykal in the 75th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Bize Heryer Trabzon's Cem İlbilge got a free kick in the 76th minute. Bize Heryer Trabzon's Barlas Özerdal was substituted for Demircan Metiner. Cem İlbilge hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After 81 played minutes Bize Heryer Trabzon got a freekick which was hit by Teobald Betonowy. Nejat Taykurt made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Isidoro Sarmiento sent off a good shot on target. Alex Cambeiro's late challenge caught a Bize Heryer Trabzon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Cambeiro helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Panama's Alex Cambeiro got a free kick in the 89th minute. 94 minutes into the match, Bize Heryer Trabzon's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Sarmiento came free, but Nejat Taykurt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Despite being the better team, Panama failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
