Ivar Unesson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 24th minute of play forced Sånna goa grejer FC's goalkeeper Ivar Unesson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Sånna goa grejer FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Ivar Unesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Sånna goa grejer FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Ivar Unesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 46 played minutes Sånna goa grejer FC got a freekick which was hit by George Kilberg. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. In the 56th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Zorita to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glenn Olsen in the 57th minute of play.
