In the 7th minute of the match, Alexandru Bușcu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bruno Barrett saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The crowd rose to their feet as Steaua Nordului's Alexandru Bușcu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bruno Barrett. That made the score 1-0 after 10 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Curacao's Rocco Owen got a free kick in the 13th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Curacao's zone, Alexandru Bușcu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Barrett came out of the goal and Alexandru Bușcu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Steaua Nordului's Alexandru Bușcu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bruno Barrett. That made the score 2-0 after 16 minutes of play. 19 minutes into the match, Aaron Llorian notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Curacao's Bruno Barrett. Bruno Barrett was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Curacao's Bruno Barrett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Curacao from getting a goal against them. The nice shot from Aaron Llorian in the 23rdth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Bruno Barrett had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Nae Timaru struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Bruno Barrett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Steaua Nordului. In the 28th minute, Charles Cox hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruno Barrett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aaron Llorian in the 29th minute. In the 33rd minute, Aaron Llorian made a precise shot to the right of Bruno Barrett. Curacao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ioan Iorgu got free with Bruno Barrett in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 40th minute Kyle Davies shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davi de Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Curacao's Rocco Owen got a free kick in the 41st minute. Bruno Barrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandru Bușcu in the 43rd minute of play. 45 minutes into the game, Aaron Llorian cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Bruno Barrett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as Alexandru Bușcu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bruno Barrett. That made the score 6-0 in the 48 minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexandru Bușcu to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aaron Llorian in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruno Barrett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Curacao's Bruno Barrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandru Bușcu in the 57th minute of play. Bruno Barrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nae Timaru in the 59th minute of play. After 65 minutes of play, Steaua Nordului's Alexandru Bușcu made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bruno Barrett was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 69 played minutes Steaua Nordului got a freekick which was hit by Corneliu Mironov. In the 74th minute, Aaron Llorian left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Steaua Nordului fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Aaron Llorian put it in 9-0 from a short distance just to the right of Bruno Barrett. In the 82ndth minute of the game Alexandru Bușcu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Curacao's Bruno Barrett was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bruno Barrett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexandru Bușcu's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Stanley Wallace's late challenge caught a Steaua Nordului's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stanley Wallace helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th minute of the match Valentin Horodincă shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bruno Barrett showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Troy Kennedy fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Curacao's protests and gave Troy Kennedy a yellow card for diving instead. Steaua Nordului's Ionuț Vasilache was substituted for Răzvan Negru. After 98 played minutes Curacao got a freekick which was hit by Troy Kennedy. Bruno Barrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Llorian in the 99th minute of play. Steaua Nordului's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
