In the 16th minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 19thth minute of the game Nickolaj Nickerson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Jonathan Ferrant successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Nickolaj Nickerson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nickolaj Nickerson, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Nickolaj Nickerson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Guillermo Mariano fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Guillermo Mariano a yellow card for diving instead. After 38 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. Nickolaj Nickerson might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nickolaj Nickerson ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rigoberto Mina during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. Quentin Cobb showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 45th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, Harlow AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Quentin Cobb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nickolaj Nickerson made a kick off. Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Seb Towler in the 53 minute of the game. Gary Sewell's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gary Sewell helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Harlow AFC's Gary Sewell got a free kick in the 64th minute. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Quentin Cobb. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Venezuela's Jose Correa quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Seb Towler, made in the 74th minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nickolaj Nickerson in the 83rd minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Harlow AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
