Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andor Szűcs. In the 7th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erim Beşer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9thth minute of the game Andor Szűcs who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Felix Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Erim Beşer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. 24 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Andor Szűcs came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th match minute, MR7 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hüsrev Özyay to maneuver through the defense. Erim Beşer came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 33rd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erim Beşer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in MR7's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erim Beşer came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 40 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montenegro. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Benito Raphael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 52nd minute Benito Raphael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustín Saelices got free with Erim Beşer in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 54th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. MR7's Erim Beşer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save MR7 from getting a goal against them. Erim Beşer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Erim Beşer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 62nd minute of the match. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benito Raphael, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benito Raphael, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. MR7's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jan Bednarek in the 72nd minute. The corner led MR7's Karl-Michael Fredriksson to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 81 minutes into the game, MR7's Karl-Michael Fredriksson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benito Raphael in the 84th minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, MR7's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Erim Beşer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Felix Montenegro hit a great ball. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
