Felix Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hamílton Loyola. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to ᴷᴬᴮᴵᴺᴵsTOP⑪™ getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Christiano Ronaldo hit a great ball. Hamílton Loyola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 7th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamílton Loyola having to interfere. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hamílton Loyola read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Felix Montes hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in ᴷᴬᴮᴵᴺᴵsTOP⑪™'s zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamílton Loyola came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ᴷᴬᴮᴵᴺᴵsTOP⑪™'s Hamílton Loyola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute of play. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hamílton Loyola. Hamílton Loyola dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Hamílton Loyola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute, ᴷᴬᴮᴵᴺᴵsTOP⑪™'s Harald Teissen dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christiano Ronaldo in the 29th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as ᴷᴬᴮᴵᴺᴵsTOP⑪™'s Horea Savin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 2-1 after 31 minutes of play. Hamílton Loyola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 34th minute of the match. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Christian Ivanschitz's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Julio Vera firmly grabbed it by the left post. Thanks to some nice moves Christian Ivanschitz could shoot a difficult shot in the 39th minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. In the 40th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hamílton Loyola was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind ᴷᴬᴮᴵᴺᴵsTOP⑪™'s goalkeeper Hamílton Loyola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 47th match minute, ᴷᴬᴮᴵᴺᴵsTOP⑪™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Schütze to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christiano Ronaldo in the 51st minute of play. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hamílton Loyola. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The audience was convinced that Harald Teissen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. ᴷᴬᴮᴵᴺᴵsTOP⑪™'s Falk Scheufens was substituted for Harald Teissen. ᴷᴬᴮᴵᴺᴵsTOP⑪™'s Hamílton Loyola proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save ᴷᴬᴮᴵᴺᴵsTOP⑪™ from getting a goal against them. In the 66th minute, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. After having played for 68 minutes, Falk Scheufens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ᴷᴬᴮᴵᴺᴵsTOP⑪™'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Falk Scheufens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the ᴷᴬᴮᴵᴺᴵsTOP⑪™ defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hamílton Loyola. The ᴷᴬᴮᴵᴺᴵsTOP⑪™ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hamílton Loyola should have stopped the shot. ᴷᴬᴮᴵᴺᴵsTOP⑪™'s Hamílton Loyola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 72nd minute of play. Daniel Zorita scored 2-5 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hamílton Loyola, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 78 minutes into the match, ᴷᴬᴮᴵᴺᴵsTOP⑪™'s goalkeeper Hamílton Loyola had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 81st minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. ᴷᴬᴮᴵᴺᴵsTOP⑪™'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Luis Andino managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. With a little luck, ᴷᴬᴮᴵᴺᴵsTOP⑪™'s Hamílton Loyola got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Falk Scheufens in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the game, ᴷᴬᴮᴵᴺᴵsTOP⑪™'s Falk Scheufens nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-5. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
