The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hurşit Sanal was the one to do the kick off. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Erik Kilberg in the 53rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hurşit Sanal in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Zorita saved El Salvador from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Hurşit Sanal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Zorita was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by El Salvador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner.
