Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Nickolai Nickerson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eric Soned prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 4 minutes Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Eric Soned managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 7th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eric Soned was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 8 minutes Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Ecuador's Cristian Sancho to fire away a dangerous shot which Eric Soned despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Cristian Sancho put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Eric Soned. 11 minutes in the game Camilo Gisbert did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Agustín Saelices. Eric Soned made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. 19 minutes into the match, Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Eric Soned reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's goalkeeper Eric Soned had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. The supporters of Étoile Sportive Du Sahel booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Nickolai Nickerson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Étoile Sportive Du Sahel fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nickolai Nickerson in the 33rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 35th minute of play forced Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's goalkeeper Eric Soned to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A very nice done corner allowed Felix Montes to score against Eric Soned in Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's goal. 2-1 after 39 minutes. In the 43rd match minute, Étoile Sportive Du Sahel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabrício Rivarola to maneuver through the defense. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel made a substitution. Per-Arne Gunnarsson replaced Rei Bolas.

After having played for 57 minutes, Nickolai Nickerson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nickolai Nickerson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 64th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Carlo Ancelotti was substituted for Nickolai Nickerson. A sloppy throw-in by Luis Andino in the 68th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Morgan Möllgren. When Carlo Ancelotti came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Étoile Sportive Du Sahel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlo Ancelotti couldn't finish the play. Eric Soned came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Morgan Möllgren's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Morgan Möllgren helped the player get up and apologised. Morgan Möllgren hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 77th minute of play forced Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's goalkeeper Eric Soned to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eric Soned took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eric Soned prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carlo Ancelotti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Carlo Ancelotti dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Julio Vera, 4-2. When the referee ended the match the Ecuador players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
