Fc Camerunul ★DAC★'s Zé Augusto Santos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Fc Camerunul ★DAC★ from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mariano Lacasa in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Augusto Santos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Laurențiu Bărănescu sped through Chile's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Thiago Pliego. The supporters of Chile booed when Fc Camerunul ★DAC★ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswaldo Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattias Tingelholm in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute Fc Camerunul ★DAC★ were awarded a corner. Pompiliu Alupoaie went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Ramiz İnanç got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Thiago Pliego quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Fc Camerunul ★DAC★'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pompiliu Alupoaie in the 48th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Laurențiu Bărănescu made a kick off. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pompiliu Alupoaie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Pompiliu Alupoaie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
