Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Garry Mason got the match started through his kick off. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulo Victor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Paulo Victor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 5th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Paulo Victor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garry Mason in the 17th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Garry Mason who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Jonathan Ferrant when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Los Colegas del Barrio's Paulo Victor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 30th minute of play. After 31 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Jonathan Ferrant acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 33rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Olaf Iniesta. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Paulo Victor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garry Mason in the 39th minute of play. When Zosimo Ibanez fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Colegas del Barrio's protests and gave Zosimo Ibanez a yellow card for diving instead. Zosimo Ibanez hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Paulo Victor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Garry Mason scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

57 minutes into the match, Garry Mason had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Garry Mason was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Los Colegas del Barrio made a substitution. Antonio Canal replaced Eutropio Harroyo. After 64 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pelayo Vazquez in the 66th minute of play. It was a well-played corner which Pelayo Vazquez managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pelayo Vazquez's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. A collision led to Los Colegas del Barrio getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Cordarin Silva hit a great ball. 88 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Pelayo Vazquez came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Venezuela's goalie and right to Antonio Canal. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Venezuela's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Antonio Canal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere.
