Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Erik Hertzog took the kick off in the first half of the match. Erik Hertzog fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Hertzog in the 6th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ecuador booed when 1. FC Union Weberei was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Owain Wollenmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Heiner Studer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Casimir Wickihalter kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Heiner Studer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Agustín Saelices was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Heiner Studer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Heiner Studer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 25th minute of play. Heiner Studer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. 1. FC Union Weberei's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Heiner Studer despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Heiner Studer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Heiner Studer. Heiner Studer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Heiner Studer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Heiner Studer. 1. FC Union Weberei's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Hertzog came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 1. FC Union Weberei's Heiner Studer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save 1. FC Union Weberei from getting a goal against them. Heiner Studer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 64th minute of play. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 67th minute, but Heiner Studer got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving 1. FC Union Weberei hanging dry this time. Heiner Studer came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Daniel Zorita scored 1-6 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Heiner Studer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Heiner Studer made a huge save. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Heiner Studer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Heiner Studer. Heiner Studer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-7. 2-7 became the score in the 88th minute when Erik Hertzog elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nico Gruenewald in the 92nd minute of the match. When Luis Andino came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Andino couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than 1. FC Union Weberei.
