Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) ACS Echipa Ursilor Brasov's Cornel Gorjanu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alexander Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Cornel Gorjanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. The ACS Echipa Ursilor Brasov fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when ACS Echipa Ursilor Brasov's Cornel Gorjanu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 10th minute, Aristide Chesaru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Dudu Georgescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 14 minutes into the game, one of Costa Rica:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 17th minute there was a penalty for ACS Echipa Ursilor Brasov. Cornel Gorjanu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Benito Sanz. 0-3. In the 20th minute, Cornel Gorjanu made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Abel Carballo hit a great ball. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Basarab Nuțu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute Dudu Georgescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of ACS Echipa Ursilor Brasov booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 42 played minutes ACS Echipa Ursilor Brasov got a freekick which was hit by Maxim Moldovan. Eliseo Noboa might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Basarab Nuțu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eliseo Noboa ran back to his position shaking his head. The Costa Rica players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ACS Echipa Ursilor Brasov were winning 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eliseo Noboa made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Cornel Gorjanu came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucian Cangeopol in the 56th minute of play. Alan Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After 59 played minutes, ACS Echipa Ursilor Brasov's Cornel Gorjanu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benito Sanz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ACS Echipa Ursilor Brasov reached it. ACS Echipa Ursilor Brasov's Basarab Nuțu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Abel Carballo got a free kick in the 66th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Basarab Nuțu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. In the 80th minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dudu Georgescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornel Gorjanu in the 84th minute of play. After having played for 87 minutes, Eliseo Noboa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Noboa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 93 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Basarab Nuțu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match was over ACS Echipa Ursilor Brasov could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Costa Rica throughout the match.
