Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fernanco Peso kicked off to start the match. A collision led to Sporting Cristal getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Gertjan De Ryck hit a great ball. Jon Iruegas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santino Seco in the 12th minute of play forced Sporting Cristal's goalkeeper Jon Iruegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Manzanares was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Fernanco Peso capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fernanco Peso really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Jon Iruegas came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Colombia's Abram Sarmiento. But to his dismay, Abram Sarmiento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Fernanco Peso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 26th minute of play forced Sporting Cristal's goalkeeper Jon Iruegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jon Iruegas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santino Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernanco Peso in the 30th minute. Frank Tassotti made in the 31st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Fernanco Peso. 35 minutes into the match, Sporting Cristal's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Jon Iruegas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sporting Cristal's Llorienzo Buenaga got a free kick in the 36th minute. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Orlando Tafalla got a free kick in the 38th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Fernanco Peso came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Jon Iruegas managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Colombia's Ignacio Mastache fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 71 minutes, Hüseyin Turan Elçibey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Cristal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hüseyin Turan Elçibey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 76 minutes into the match, Sporting Cristal's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Mastache came free, but Jon Iruegas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ignacio Mastache might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jon Iruegas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ignacio Mastache ran back to his position shaking his head. Christian Luciano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Manzanares having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Luciano in the 84th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jon Iruegas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Secada, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
