A beautiful save bye El Salvador's goalie prevented a goal. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rikard Olaussen, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gunnar Lundgård, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Titleist's Rikard Olaussen. But to his dismay, Rikard Olaussen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 16th minute, Moises Fernandino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isidoro Elequemedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gunnar Lundgård in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Zorita saved El Salvador from getting behind. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Marco Tamayo hit a great ball. Marco Tamayo charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marco Tamayo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Marco Tamayo hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. 29 minutes into the game, Titleist's Rikard Olaussen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Zorita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gunnar Lundgård, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gunnar Lundgård fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. If Gunnar Lundgård had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

In the 52nd minute, Gunnar Lundgård got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rikard Olaussen during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Titleist's Rikard Olaussen got a free kick in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rikard Olaussen in the 63rd minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Gunnar Lundgård had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gunnar Lundgård was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Moises Fernandino got a free kick in the 69th minute. Gunnar Lundgård fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. Titleist's Halvard Oliversen was substituted for Gunnar Lundgård. In the 80th minute, Halvard Oliversen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Zorita was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-6. The supporters of Titleist booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joshua Curbelo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 85 minutes, Jan-Kenneth Brynildsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Titleist's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan-Kenneth Brynildsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marco Tamayo struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Isidoro Elequemedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Salvador. Halvard Oliversen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ricardo Zorita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Titleist played a much better game than El Salvador and deserved their victory. The El Salvador players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
